Kampala

Kampala

Kampala is the biggest city of Uganda, but also its capital. Like many cities, Kampala faces traffic jam problems, which worsen during rush hours. It is estimated that 24,000 hours of work are lost each year only due to traffic jams. In addition to this economic problem, there is a transport problem, as traffic affects the mobility of people, goods and services and harms the environment by creating pollution as well as the overall productivity of the city.
While the causes of traffic are numerous, they are mainly linked to the lack of information of citizens about road activity. By joining the ASToN network, the City wishes to meet this challenge thanks to the support of new digital technologies.
